1916 June - (1st) Catalonian Circuit

Three stages:

    1. Barcelona - Puigcerda (255km)

    2. Puigcerda - Lerida (187km)

    3. Lerida - Barcelona (193km)

It is not a speed race, but a test of regularity and of touring at a speed regulated to 30-35kph.

Organised by Real Automovil Club Cataluna.

30 cars were registered. 25 left Barcelona:

    • Andreu - "Gebon"

    • Fontana - "Rambler"

    • Freixa - "Lancia"

    • Marial - "Hispano Suiza III"

    • Xicoy - "Overland"

    • Alvarez - "Diatto I"

    • Alegre - "Mitchell I"

    • Bargues - "Motobloc"

    • Mata - "Berliet"

    • Macaya - "Mitchel II"

    • Heusch - "Benz"

    • Muntadas - "Chenard Walker"

    • Oller - "Pilain"

    • Sola Andreu - "Diatto II"

    • Bastos - "Minerva"

    • Pujadas and Llobet - "Elizalde II"

19 cars finished.

Prizes were judged as follows...

First Category:

    • R.A.C. Cup of Honour - Sr. Almagro's car, driven by the mechanic, Heredia - (N.S.U.)

Second Category:

    • R.A.C. Cup of Honour - Sres. Pujadas and Llobet's car, driven by Mr L'Huilleier (sic) (Elizalde II"

Also:

    • Puigcerda Cup - the car of Sr. Almagro.

    • Andreu Cup - the car of Sres. Pujadas and Llobet.

    • Society of Attraction of Outsiders - the car of Bargues.

    • Barcelona Auto Cup - the car of Sr. Rissmann.

Finally several Silver and Gold Medals were also given.
